Xmas and winter.

Outside the house you can see and feel the winter. So I made some pics outside.

Inside the house Twan and Fleur decorated our christmastree. Hans made christmasdecorations and I made a "puzzle" for the first Xmasday. We invited my parents-in-law with my sisters-in-law and their husbands and children. On the second day of Xmas we are going to visit my family in Germany.

Applepie and bubbles.

This weekend our house was filled with the smell of applepie. Hans is our expert in baking pies!!! How lovely isn't it? Not only the smell was nice, but having a piece of it was even nicer *LOL*.

You didn't saw my LO of Twan blowing bubbles. This picture was taken by Anita. Have you seen her photoblog yet???

My house is already in X-Mas style. How is yours? I hope I'll manage to make some pics to show you later this week.

Girls weekend!!!!!

Friday:
While Hans and Twan are away for a weekend helping my brothers in Germany. Fleur and I are gonna celebrate our Girls Weekend!!! We wanted to watch some tv at 17.00u but at 17.15u it was dark in our house and in the whole neighbourhood. When we lighted some candles Fleur wanted to make a painting by candlelight!!!!
Cause I cook on induction I wasn't able to make us a meal. We decided to go to my parents home where there was electricity. We ate our meal and at 19.30u we could go home.
Saturday:
Today we went to Groningen and we visited the new "Martini Ziekenhuis". There was an "open day" and you could have a look in the new colourful hospital. It was nice to see were hubby Hans is working and we had a nice impression of the whole hospital.

It is finished.....

I finished this LO (you already saw a sneak peek) last wednesday at Birgit.
Normally they don't sleep in one bed!!!!! At this evening Twan couldn't sleep, so Fleur decided to read him a story. And this is how it ended up..... They both like their Paddington to sleep with them. The Paddington-bears must stay in bed when Fleur and Twan go downstairs. We never have to look after the bears....they are always sleeping!!!!

The story of the little card, the office of Sinterklaas.

This is the story of the little card. I posted this card to a friend (and colleague) of mine. She started working at "the firm" 28 years ago. She is our little sunshine at the office. She really earned this card. I wrote a few personal words at the inside.


This afternoon Twan and I decided to go to the office of Sinterklaas (it's a Dutch version of Santa Claus). Twan drew a painting and gave it to Sinterklaas.


Twan wasn't anxious at all and he had a little conversation with Sinterklaas. In the same room were Sinterklaas received many children there was also his bed. It had nice red textiles and everywhere there were packages.


When we arrived at home Twan choosed to sleep on the couch to wait for his sister. Fleur was on her way home from Gouda. She visited our cousin Leanne with Iris (also a cousin) and grandma and granddad. Leanne turned two today. They had a lovely day at our family.
Twan did go to bed after a big hug and kisses from his sister.

Buttons part 2

This picture of Fleur (made by Anita) did I made with the same sketch of what I did with the picture of Twan (see the post of the 23th).

I realised that I'm very pleased with my buttons. Buttons are a nice decoration on a memory. Don't you think?

Buttons

This evening when I visited Mariska her blog, I saw a nice LO of her using the sketch of Pencil Lines (challenge #58). A friend at work brought me some nice buttons (thnx Ineke). They needed to be scrapped. This is what I did with them.

The picture was taken by Anita in september of this year. Anita hoped I love to scrap her photo's...and ofcourse I DID!!!! Thanks so much.

Workshop Winter Wonderland at Birgit's

This is what I made at Birgit's this evening. We used embossingpowder, alcohol-ink, acrylpaint etc. It was a nice evening with 8 women, pepernoten, m&m's, coffee, tee and ofcourse....... lots of lovely scrapstuff.

Can you imagine how much I want a real winter this year?!?!

Not finished, but.....

I am working on my next LO. It isn't finished..... so I can only show you this:

I started working on this LO at Birgit's. At wednesday morning I go to her place for a crop. She has so much stamps, papers, dabbers, flowers, magazines etc. which you can use for your LO. And ofcourse she is a very talented scrapbooker with lots of inspiration (also for the croppers!!).

Next wednesday Birgit does a workshop Winter Wonderland. I hope I can show you more about this at the end of this week.

Noordpolderzijl

This afternoon we decided to visit Noordpolderzijl. It is a very small piece of the North of Groningen. But it is really nice there. Lots of people like to visit this place. You can have a drink in 't Zielhoes to warm yourselves up. When we got back by our car Fleur and Twan had nice little red cheeks. In the car Twan took a little nap.

Birthdaycard

Tomorrow it is my dad's birthday. I made him a birthdaycard.
Normally you make the card open at the right. But wat happened......When I was developping the card I decided to make a strip which would hold photo's. (You can see the photo's below made by Anita Mundt.) But when I finished the strip and put the photo's in it.....the strip was right before the eyes of Twan and Fleur. I decided to turn the card around. Don't worry about it, becaus my dad is lefthanded he'll manage to get the pictures out of the card!!!

Photoshoot

A while ago Fleur and Twan were in a real photoshoot. The pictures are made by Anita Mundt. She is a real artist, I love her work. She took some really great pictures of Fleur and Twan.

Fleur was a bit ill at the time. Twan didn't know how to act. But.....we (hubbie Hans and I) are really proud of them.

First pics

This is a picture of Twan (4 years) making a jump on his packet of juice. Once he filled it with air (after drinking the apple juice!!) he jumps very hard and.....BANG the packet is damaged.

Fleur (7 years) had her ears pierced. And this is how she looked when she was having the piercing done. She didn't have any pain. It tickeld she said. So far she is very proud of her new pimped ears!!!
